Position Purpose: The Training Resource Manager oversees the scheduling and coordination of instructors and students for academic and simulator training programs under a US Government contract supporting the United States Air Force (USAF). This role supervises a team of training resource analysts responsible for creating, adjusting, and managing schedules for contract instructors and students across training programs for pilots, combat systems officers, and special mission aviators on five distinct aircraft types, covering initial qualification, mission qualification, transition training, upgrade training, senior officer, and key staff. Additionally, the Training Resource Manager supervises Registrars, TODO, and Wing Operations Center personnel.
The Training Resource Manager maintains the Graduate Training Integration Management System (GTIMS), uses the browser for the creation of all classrooms and modifications to all resources and instructors, supports the development of all Training Review Board (TRB) processes and the lost events and down time reporting process. The position ensures efficient delivery of training while adhering to USAF training management standards and standards of instruction.

Team Supervision: Manage and lead a team of academic and flightline schedulers, Registrars, TODO, and Wing Operations Center personnel, providing guidance, training, and performance oversight to ensure accurate and efficient schedule creation and management using established standards of instruction, student processing, publication management, and coordination of wing-level operations.
- Schedule Oversight: Oversee the development and maintenance of schedules for instructors and students, ensuring optimal allocation across academic and simulator training sessions for five aircraft types. Resource Coordination: Ensure analysts assign instructors to training sessions based on availability, expertise, aircraft-specific qualifications, and program requirements, adhering to standards of instruction.
- GTIMS Utilization: Use the Graduate Training Integration Management System (GTIMS) to oversee scheduling, track training progress, and generate reports, ensuring analysts are proficient in its use.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with USAF training program leads, instructors, and administrative staff to align schedules with mission objectives and training requirements.
- Conflict Resolution: Address and resolve scheduling conflicts, guiding analysts to adapt to changes in instructor availability, student needs, or operational demands.
- Compliance and Standards: Ensure all schedules and training activities comply with USAF training management regulations, policies, and standards of instruction.
- Data Tracking and Reporting: Monitor and report on scheduling metrics, such as instructor utilization, student progression, training completion rates, available resources, lost events and down time using GTIMS and other tools.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements to scheduling processes, leveraging GTIMS and standards of instruction to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Requirements
Qualifications:
The following are the requisite education and/or experience required to qualify for the position as a Training Resource Manager. Experience may substitute for education and experience on a two- for-one yearly basis.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Education, Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in resource management, scheduling, or training coordination, preferably in a military or aviation training environment
- Required: Proficiency with the Graduate Training Integration Management System (GTIMS)
- Required: Knowledge of USAF training management and student training management processes
- Experience supervising teams, preferably in a scheduling or training coordination capacity
- Strong organizational and time-management skills to oversee complex scheduling demands and team performance
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with military personnel, instructors, analysts, and administrative staff
- Ability to solve problems and manage multiple priorities in a high-stakes, fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a USAF or Department of Defense (DoD) training environment.
- Familiarity with academic and simulator-based training for pilots, combat system officers, or special mission aviators / loadmasters.
- Background in managing schedules for multiple aircraft types or complex training programs.
- Experience developing or implementing standards of instruction for training programs.
